Preserving Affordable Housing for Families and Communities

Fair Housing Partners provides desirable rental housing that low- and moderate-income families and seniors can afford. We operate as a partner with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and utilize HUD’s Section 8 program to achieve our mission and serve our residents.

A New View on Life: An Affordable Housing Success in Kansas City, MO

This is story about Affordable Housing – A niche segment of the real estate market where demand continues to grow, while supply is projected to shrink. While this might sound like a recipe for investor frenzy, it’s actually a cautionary tale … for those that pursue HUD’s mission to provide “decent, safe and sanitary housing” should not underestimate or oversimplify its complexities.

We apply decades of housing experience to assist in the preservation and the improvement of older multifamily rental projects. Our communities are all managed by specialized staffers that are trained with high standards for compliance and oversight.

Our communities are often in secondary and tertiary markets across the United States. Most residents are lower income families and seniors, typically earning below 30% of the area median income (AMI).

Social Impact

Each rental community has a preservation plan designed to support our tenants and complement the community at large. In some cases, rental assistance is combined with other social support to meet basic needs. The result is access to housing where residents can thrive.
